I have been tossing the idea of doing the axle swap on my '03 Chevy 2500 HD, any input or advise? I don't have the cash right now, but If I could get the parts together would anyone be up for the challenge?

that swap is a fun one, I looked at doing it on my 3500 when I had it and unless your going to wheel it hard there is not much to gain from it. If I remember correctly there are some kits that help keep it simple

Since it's out of warranty, I wanted to make a recovery vehicle out of it. I know it is a lot of work, but they just don't seem to make strong enough axles for the IFS.

I ran 33's a nice 454 and a manual trans and didnt break a front shaft even with granny gear and compound low its a lot like wheeling a dana 35 be smarter than the axle and you wont break it
