I am forwarding this as it is of great importance
Last weekend was a busy weekend on the San Bernardino National Forest. Our OHV Volunteers and Adopt-a-Trail Clubs were out getting a lot done.
Did YOU know that our Volunteers found at least EIGHT unattended, abandoned BURNING campfires and extinguished them last weekend? Some VERY large in size and intensity.
Obviously, the message is not clear to some of our Forest Visitors-NO illegal campfires allowed.
Thank you very much to all that helped out over the Holiday weekend. You're AWESOME!
We're going to have a very long, hot summer again this year. Let's work together to protect the forest that we all enjoy so much.
If you see an illegal fire (attended) report it to our Federal Interagency Communication Center (FICC) 909-383-5654.
If the fire is unattended-PUT IT OUT and report it to FICC.
Keep your eyes and ears open while in the forest.
YOU can make THE difference by preventing another disastrous forest fire.
Thanks again,
Greg.
