I have a couple of questions I hope someone can assist with. I am replacing my heater core on my 93 YJ and I am using the Hayes manual for instruction. The manual states to "remove the housing attaching nuts from the studs on the engine compartment side of the firewall." I see 4 nuts. Two are supporting the battery tray and the other two are smaller and are working to hold ground wires to the firewall. I do not see any other nuts on the firewall to go along with the manual. Any suggestions you have I will greatly appreciate. Thank you in advance.

I agree...........throw the book away. Unless you have a factory repair manual, it will not be useful.

When the time comes I will go to you for advice (if I get stuck). I also need to replace my Heater Core on the 94 YJ (Blue Jeep). It must be a sign of how long the darn cores are good for. Where did you get the part? The cheapest I've found them is about $74. Were you able to do better than that? I still need to get the part. Aaron

Just as a friendly reminder that GERR is a crown automotive (jeep parts) distributor. Give him a call for all your parts needs. He has done a great job on all the parts that I need. He recently got pricing for me on parts that would have cost me over 100 bucks at the dealer for MUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHH less.

I contacted the local Jeep dealer and they stated that the YJ heater core has been discontinued. That is why I went Auto Zone. Jeff

Just make sure all the nuts, cables, ducts are disconnected before you stast prying on anything, it's all plastic and could break easily.
