Is there a matainence schedule for the timing chain on a 4.0?

what is the schedule ? Change it at xxx,xxx.xx miles ? Check it for slack ? Make sure it is still there ?

what is the schedule ? Change it at xxx,xxx.xx miles ? Check it for slack ? Make sure it is still there ? Leave it alone, youll know when you need to change it. the 4.0 should have about 200000 miles first

you will notice a erratic idle as the timing changes and possibly some slapping noises in the front of the motor. Honestly we have a 4.0 with nearly 350,000 miles on it here with the original timing chain you should be fine. Lucky for us AMC designed a good oiling system for the 4.0
