Cb tow points fire extinguisher etc do we have a thread with a full list? thatd be helpful... here is the list as found in the rules thread Required equipment for runs: 1. Roll bar or full cage or factory hard top. 2. Functioning parking brake or Micro lock. 3. Tow strap or rope. No chains or straps with hooks. Recommend rated at 2 times vehicle weight. 4. First aid kit (what do you want when you are hurt?). It should be mounted/stored in an easily found and accessible location, so that someone not familiar with your vehicle could find it in a hurry. Please include a snake bite kit in your first aid supplies. 5. Jack capable of lifting the vehicle and a tool capable of removing lug nuts (don't forget your wheel locks). 6. Spare tire equal to or within 3 inches (measured at the outside diameter) of existing tires on the vehicle; must be an appropriate off road type tread. No temporary spares. A plug kit is also a VERY good idea to have with you and is recommended. 7. Fire extinguisher with gauge indicating good, appropriately stored (not a missile hazard). Like the first aid kit, someone not familiar with your vehicle should be able to quickly find and access it. Please make sure to check you fire extinguisher before every run, we recommend a ABC model in at least 2 pound size, please mark it with the date of installation and keep it inspected yearly by a professional. 8. Seat belts for driver and all passengers. 9. Antennas must not exceed 4'6" (54") in length except when longer antennas/whip is required by certain OHV areas. 10. Appropriate attachment points for both front and rear, i.e. tow hooks receiver etc. 11. Battery hold downs; no bungee cords. 12. Functional 40 Channel CB radio.

I have done this run. very easy, okay too easy the few cool harder spots looked cool but I am still with stock tires and no lift on my jeep liberty. this trail is a wonderful scenic drive to lake arrowhead. hope to make it and be lift with tires then to be able to go on the few fun turn offs. oh and the list of things need require a cb, why not a ham radio or both? I got my ham licence and a great mbile radio in the jeep. works in place where no cell service to get out a call for emergencies if need thru a repeater.

I got my ham licence and a great mbile radio in the jeep. works in place where no cell service to get out a call for emergencies if need thru a repeater. Ham is not required because it requires the user to have a license and that could exclude otherwise well prepared members where a cb still works ok and is publicly accessible. Ham is great and it is suggested but the original members ratified the rules and requirements and at this time will stand till proven changes necessary. BTW I have a hand held tri band I take some times for emergency's but I do not have a license, I just figure better to have and not use then to need and not have and chances are if it is a true emergency I wont get in to much trouble by calling for help.

I will not be attending but the lostjeeps group has taken over the plans for this run Yep, Same plans as above. Might add to the trip by running out past Pinnacles staging area, possibly to Devils Hole and then possibly even over to Deep Creek. (obviously I won't be having dinner in Arrowhead if I do all of that)

we might even split into two groups w/ one running 2n17x up to 2n33 if we get enough interest that morning. Regardless, we will probably be running some of the bypasses on 2n33 while there to check them for condition, etc.

This run is still On. If you have a metal detector could you please bring it w/ you? Need to find a buried water tank valve.
Heavy metal rakes, loppers, etc appreciated too. Not a ton to do but we will be trying to do some minor clearing on blind corners of the light branches at least, clearing of culverts and moving of rocks off the trail. Bring gloves and trash bags and don't forget water.
Thanks!! Greg said to thank attendees in advance for him!
