Started to change out the oil, when I pulled out the oil plug fluid rushed out. It was not to dark kinda looked like gas. Wow it is gas WTF thats no suppose to be there. Drained out all that crap and changed out the fuel pump. Hope that is what the problem is. What else could it be? I have not put fuel to the carb so no way it can be that. Well new Fuel pump installed was a pain in the ass but its done. Ran out of light so now I will have to put in new oil and then drain it again hope Monday. Then Finally I hope I can tune the carb and that beast will be done. Ready for some fun.

you need to make sure to get all that fuel out of your engine. Chances are your fuel pump was the culprit but it can also be the carb dumping to much fuel and it running down your cylinder walls in to the oil and diluting the oil even more. I hate to say it but you hopefully didnt get to much of it in there and ruin your rings and bearings

Well due to me not starting the truck at all with the new carb, there is no fuel in that carb yet. Still empty. It had to come from the Fuel pump. I did empty all the fuel out. So hoping all is good. I will drop the oil pan and put new gasket just because it leaked before hand. Yea I am praying that all is good. If not damn don't wanna even talk about that...

I actually was thinking it could be from the old carb. float sticks and the carb bleeds fuel especially on those older ones where the fuel pressure was able to push past the jets which could explain some of the issues you had now that I think of it.

Yes very true. Did not think of that. Well we will see.
1) What do you recommend I do as far as cleaning all that crap out?
2) Should I add something to the oil to help it out? Or just add my oil and go from there?
3) I will be dropping the oil pan should I do something while I have it off?
Ok lots of questions but I have no Idea. Thanks for the help.

1) What do you recommend I do as far as cleaning all that crap out?buy 3 good filters napa gold 1515 is what id would suggest, a bunch of extra oil get a good 15w-40 diesel oil (its some of the best for older motors) and 2 quarts of automatic trans fluid, change the oil and add one quart atf run it for 5 minutes then drain the oil. refill with clean new oil run it for about 10 minutes then add the atf and run for another 5 min then change the oil again. it will help get all the gunk oit of the passages and help make sure any fuel left in side gets picked up or at least cleaned out of where it would do damage.
2) Should I add something to the oil to help it out? Or just add my oil and go from there? honestly with a older motor get a bottle of lucas oil stabilizer
3) I will be dropping the oil pan should I do something while I have it off?change your oil pump and screen not a major thing to do but good insurance, at very minimum clean your screen
Ok lots of questions but I have no Idea. Thanks for the help. [/size]

Well its been a while since I worked on the truck but I got the timing done and now all I need to do is to flush the radiator and take out for a test spin. Hope to have the truck all ready by the end of the weekend.
